Amy is a genuine, empathetic, and caring individual capable of cultivating meaningful connections with people in an open, honest, and non-judgmental manner. Amy is a person who accepts others with humility and common sense. She is a qualified and respected social worker with 20+ years of frontline community, hospital and clinical experience. Among the populations that Amy has served include, youth, adults and seniors who struggle with mental health and addiction issues, relational stress or crisis, trauma, physical health diagnosis and palliation.
Amy perceives her role as a therapist in very simple terms – she gives you permission to give her all your stress, worries and fears! Amy will help you recognize your strengths, empower you to create innovative ideas to improve your situation, and most importantly to believe in yourself. Among her greatest strengths are her insights into healthy strategies for self-care and independent functioning, and her willingness to work as hard as you on your journey towards mental wellness.
