Joel Routliff
RP
Joel is a compassionate and insightful Gestalt Psychotherapist who fosters an environment where honesty and responsibility guide the therapeutic process. He works collaboratively with clients to cultivate trust and a genuine sense of being seen. He provides direct feedback, practical insight, and warm encouragement while gently challenging the thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns which may be hindering clients from fulfilling their underlying unmet needs. Through this process, Joel supports clients in developing healthier ways of responding to their needs and other concerns, moving toward a life rooted in self-respect and integrity.
Joel has extensive experience supporting individuals navigating grief, childhood trauma & PTSD, men’s issues, relationship challenges, and those seeking to improve communication skills. He has worked with those who identify as introverts or ‘lone wolves,’ neurodivergent individuals, and intellectuals/academics seeking deeper self-understanding. In addition to Gestalt, somatic, and relational therapy techniques, he frequently incorporates mindfulness interventions to support clients in managing experiences of stress, anxiety, depression, and mood dysregulation.
